Here are two simple steps for starting your interior decorating process. 

First, have you ever Googled home decor? What do you see? Listing after listing of “How to create a ______ home on a budget.” There’s bohemian, organic modern, modern farmhouse, coastal, coastal cozy, modern luxe... the list never ends. The lesson? Styles fade. Fads end. Don’t update your home aesthetic based on what’s popular and trending.

I encourage my clients to not try to define their style. Sure, it’s helpful for searching for products online, but I encourage you to not get stuck in an [insert style here] rut. People often like numerous styles, and it’s that combination that makes your space unique and perfectly suited for YOU. Your space doesn’t need to fit nicely into a “type.” It needs to provide a peaceful background so you can live your best life.

These two questions are by far the most important questions you can ask yourself. Take a few minutes and really consider the answer.
